What Is Suno Mastering?

Suno mastering is the final audio-finishing stage for music generated with Suno. I manually master each track to improve tonal balance, control harshness, tighten the low end, manage dynamics and prepare the finished song for release.

HUMAN MASTERING FOR AI MUSIC

What I Improve in a Suno Master

Every Suno generation is different. I listen first and process only what your track actually needs.

WHY HUMAN MASTERING?

Human Mastering vs Automated AI Mastering

Automatic mastering can be useful for quick demos. My service is for tracks where you want a real engineer to listen, make individual decisions and respond to the music rather than a preset.

Marius Simion - Mixing Mastering Sound Engineer

I am Marius, the mixing and mastering engineer behind Song Mix Master. I have more than 15 years of hands-on experience in music production, mixing, and mastering.

I approach every master as a listening problem rather than a processing recipe. I listen, compare, make decisions, and leave things untouched when they already work.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Suno Mastering FAQ

Not every Suno generation needs heavy processing, but a finished song can still benefit from professional mastering before release. I evaluate tonal balance, dynamics, low end, harshness, stereo translation, peaks, and final loudness, then process only what the individual track requires.

No. I personally make the mastering decisions and process your track manually. Software tools are part of any modern mastering workflow, but an automated AI mastering engine does not decide how your song should sound.

The two approaches serve different needs. Automatic mastering can work well for fast demos and inexpensive previews. Human mastering gives you individual listening, artistic judgment, communication, revisions, and the ability to recognize when a problem requires something other than another automated processing pass.

Send the original WAV whenever you have one available. WAV avoids the additional lossy compression associated with MP3 and gives me the best source available for mastering. If you only have an MP3, I can still evaluate it.

Yes, when the source allows it. I increase perceived loudness through controlled mastering rather than simply raising the gain. The final target depends on the song, genre, dynamics, and intended use.

No. I do not treat -14 LUFS as a universal mastering target. Streaming normalization and mastering loudness are related, but they are not the same thing. I choose a level that suits the music while maintaining appropriate peak control and sound quality.

No. Mastering can often reduce the perception of harshness, resonances, excessive low-mid energy, unstable dynamics, and some other undesirable characteristics. It cannot reconstruct information that does not exist or completely repair a severely damaged generation.

Sometimes, but only to a limited extent. Mastering changes the entire stereo mix. If the vocal needs substantial level, EQ, or dynamic correction, working from stems or improving the source generation will usually produce a better result.

Yes. If separate stems are available and the song needs element-level corrections, stem mixing may provide considerably more control than stereo mastering.

Mastering does not change the ownership, licensing, or commercial-use rights attached to your original Suno generation. You remain responsible for ensuring that your use of the generated music complies with the terms that applied when the song was created and with the requirements of your distributor or release platform.
